Unique Inter-treble to Easy Rocking
JANUARY 9, 2012: Wattle Brae stalwart resident sire Easy Rocking was at the centre of a rare treble when runners by the stallion won races in Brisbane, Perth and Macau on the very same day.
Rock To Rule commenced the sequence when winning a 1200-metre maiden event at Eagle Farm. Miss Dandy provided Easy Rocking with the middle-leg of her sire’s treble, claiming a 1200m fillies & mares contest at Ascot to record her third-straight victory. Win No. 3 came when General Win became his sire’s third 1200-metre winner when proving successful in the prestigious Leeton Handicap on the corresponding program staged in Macau.
One of Queensland’s most established sires, Easy Rocking has now been responsible for well over 200 individual winners in at least nine different thoroughbred racing countries of the world. His progeny have amassed earnings rapidly approaching $12 million.
Wattle Brae Stud will offer the only colt in the 2012 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale by Easy Rocking. A maternal grandson of Group 1 winning sprinter Jetball, the youngster will go through the sales ring as Lot 905 in Session 6.
