Did you know?
February 22, 2010: Did you know that Wattle Brae Stud resident sire Get Square is closely-related to one of North America’s leading young stallions?
Stephen Got Even is the stallion’s name and the sire-son of A.P. Indy is currently in the top-20 on the 2010 US General Sires listing.
Currently standing at Lane’s End in Kentucky, Stephen Got Even was a US Grade 1 winner at 4-years who commenced stud duties in 2001. He is now recognized as the sire of no fewer than 20 individual stakes winners including this month’s Aqueduct Whirlaway Stakes (LR) winner Peppi Knows.
Stephen Got Even’s progeny feature two US Grade 1 winners. In 2005, Steviewonderboy won the Breeders’ Cup Male Juvenile (G1) on the way to the title of US Champion 2YO of his generation. Last year witnessed him represented by I Want Revenge, winner of the 2009 Wood Memorial (G1) at Aqueduct.
Get Square’s dam is a half-sister to Immerse (by Cox’s Ridge), the US Grade 1 placed dam of Stephen Got Even.
