Easy Rocking

2009: Last weekend’s
Doomben meeting was
the scene for EASY
ROCKING’s
latest milestone
as a sire with Funtantes
proving successful
in the Group 2 Darley
Champagne Stakes
(1200m).
The
juvenile daughter
of EASY ROCKING won
the feature 2-year-old
event by one and a
half lengths, posting
the impressive time
of 1m09.71s in the
process.
Funtantes
has now won four of
her six starts to
date and is yet to
finish out of the placings.
The
Champagne Stakes
victory of Funtantes
saw the filly become
her immediate family’s
first stakes horse
of any description
in four generations,
illustrating the
capability of EASY
ROCKING to upgrade
his mares.
The
winning prizemoney
also took EASY
ROCKING
through the $2
million
for the 2008/09
racing
season.
