Doomben double for Easy Rocking
Easy Rocking was responsible for a Brisbane metropolitan double last weekend when Seesawing and Baqaba won their respective events on Saturday’s Doomben program.
On a day when the Wattle Brae Stud resident stallion also provided the first winner on the Toowoomba card, Seesawing and Baqaba were both sent out favourites in strong metropolitan company and each provided their supporters with the perfect result.
Seesawing (4m, Easy Rocking-Playground) landed the Knauf Class 6 Handicap in class record time of 1m36.17s. The 4-year-old mare had a head to spare over Athenas Gift, with Sydney challenger Dubai to Sydney a long-head away in third. Seesawing has now won five races from 21 starts for prizemoney in excess of $260,000.
Baqaba (4g, Easy Rocking-Bouree) ran out a one and a quarter length winner of his assignment, a competitive Class 6 contest staged over 1200 metres. From just seven starts, the 4-year-old gelding has now won four races and has filled the minor placing on another two occasions.
Eleven youngsters by Easy Rocking are to be offered at the 2010 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, all of which go under the hammer during Session 6. All but two of the contingent can be found in the Wattle Brae Stud consignment and are available for inspection at the stud or at the Magic Millions complex.
