REQUIREMENTS
FOR WALK ON MARES
2008
Clitoral
Swab: Please have your
veterinarian take a
clitoral swab of every
mare, except a Maiden
mare. The swab results
must show NEGATIVE
for PSEUDAMONAS and
KLEBSIELLA.
Please
forward swab results
to the office on fax
07 46 964 515 at least
24 hours prior to booking
in for a service.
Document
Of Description: As
per rules underlined
by The Australian Stud
Book. All mares must
have the Document Of
Description at stud
with them, and our
Studmaster must identify
each mare prior to
service. We
cannot serve your mare
if you do not produce
her Document Of Description.
Booking
Forms must be received
by Wattle Brae prior
to the mare being served.
All
mares walking on to
Wattle Brae must be
declared fee of contact
with strangles.
Please
inform Wattle Brae
prior to bringing your
mare and foal if there
is any indication of
scours/ rotavirus in
visiting foals so we
can take precautions
to protect other stock.
Please
give us as much notice
as possible to book
in your mare for a
walk on cover, preferably
at least 24 hours.

It
is the responsibility
of the owner to inform
Wattle Brae Stud of
results of all scans – 15
day, 30 day and 45
day Pregnancy Test
results.
